Manhattan School of Music is at the heart of New York City's vibrant
Morningside Heights neighborhood, framed by bustling Broadway to the
east, serene Riverside Park to the west, legendary Harlem to the north,
and the City's "Academic Acropolis" of neighboring colleges to the
south. Our campus has been described by the New York Times as "one of
the richest architectural compositions in the city," including the 1910
seven-story main building and the G. Chris and SungEun Andersen Hall, a
contemporary multi-use building and dormitory inaugurated in 2001.
Performance spaces embrace both history and cutting-edge technology,
from the Art Deco gem of John C. Borden Auditorium to our groundbreaking
Distance Learning Program streaming internationally from the William R.
and Irene D. Miller Recital Hall. Students from 44 states and 47
countries make Manhattan School of Music their home.
